Cigisped Air Freight handles the transportation of boats, yachts and various commodities by air and provides assistance with customs imposed duties both in UE and in foreign countries.
The air freight department was born out of a lucky intuition on the part of the founders of Cigisped SRL, when in 2004 arose the opportunity to get agency for British Airways Cargo of Genoa through the acquisition of Sky Air Freight SRL.
After gaining experience in the air shipping field, Sky Air Freight decided to end its collaboration with the English airline to become a IATA (International Air Transportation Association) agent. Later on, in 2006, CIGISPED AIR FREIGHT SRL was founded.
IATA Membership allowed the new company to work with over 280 airlines (about 95% of total air traffic) and thus to be able to offer competitive tariffs for a vast range of services for primary destinations all over the world.
Beginning with spare parts for nautical boats, Cigisped Air Freight grew its client base and expanded its offer to other types of goods, becoming a key component of this international group.
Today the members of the Cigisped air department are qualified to organize a diverse range of services in order to respond to any need clients might have.
We offer direct, consolidated, CPT and door delivered shipments, for both export and import services; all kinds of commodities (general cargo, dangerous and perishable) are regularly handled on all routings. Furthermore, a wide network of trusted agents completes the offer by guaranteeing cross trade services.
